After Michael Phelps record breaking Olympic run, his trading cards have taken on a new cachet.
News sources have reported that as little as two weeks ago, his 2004 autographed Donruss cards were trading for $25 - not any more.
Arlington, Texas-based Donruss produced about 300 of the autographed Phelps cards in 2004 and about 5,000 “common” cards not bearing the American swimmer’s autograph, Donruss spokesman Scott Prusha said.
